Remember all of their tricks from RoadMaps Day 0.Remember these... | Day | Description | Resolution |
Questioning | 0 | When you get pulled over, the cop would approach you and ask some or all of the followings:
| Always reply this: "No, Officer, I was driving safely!" We cannot help you if you said something else. |
Police Notes | 0 | The cop will write down everything you told him, and the Judge will see it. If you told him anything, you cannot change it after we give you a better excuse. So:
| If you really have to say something, always reply this: "Officer, I was driving safely!" We cannot help you if you said something else. |
Denying your request for County Seat | 0 | Before you sign the ticket, verbally say, "Can you please assign my case to the County Seat of this County ?". Most cop do not know what that is. Some may pretend they know it but they will not do anything about it. Some know it, but still will not do anything about your request. So, when you sign the ticket, write "County Seat please" next to your signature. Most cops do not know what that is. Some cops know it and let you keep your writings, but some will cross out your writings except your signature. | There is no resolution to this. However, the cross out lines are evidence that the cop has denied and ignored your request for County Seat. |
Witness Requested Continuance | 130 - 170 | Officer may request for Continance due to cause at your trial, and the Judge will continue your case at the next trial. | Most likely, the Judge will continue your case but you must stop the Judge, and mention that you are taking a day off from work just to attend this trial. Request the Judge to dismiss the case. The Judge may still continue your case, and at this moment, you must tell the Judge that you will have planned vacation (and, etc.), and you would like the case to be continued after 3+ months (or, the longer the better). |
An Incompetent Witness | 130 - 170 |
| You must object to the Judge immediately, and mention that witness was not at the scene when you were cited. And, you must tell the Judge that you would like to cross examine any witnesses. If any witness cannot attend the trial, request the Judge to dismiss the case. If the Judge insist to continue the case, request the next trial to be 3+ months (or, the longer the better) away by saying that you have planned vacation and etc. |
Officer changed your violated VC | 130 - 170 | At the beginning of the trial, Officer requests the Judge to change the violated Vehicle Code since he made a mistake. Since you did not prepare for that, it will be a huge disadvantage to your case. | You must immediately object to such change pursant to California Code Of Civil Procedure Section 471.5. The Officer should follow the proper procedures where the Officer must:
If you have never been granted a Continuance, you must tell the Judge that even if the Officer followed the above procedures, your right for Speedy Trial (45 days) will be violated. Request the Judge to dismiss the case. |
